T-strap Vintage Style

Brown Leather Mary Jane

Hot dang these babies are joining my vintage style wardrobe.  All hail eBay. When I saw this pattern; I KNEW I had to have a pair of leather, t-strap shoes.  I am sew glad I popped in to eBay this afternoon.

ETA:  Excited as I was to see this auction when they arrived the other day they did NOT disappoint.  I truly hope to get good pose pictures when I complete the 1930s skirt that I am going to wear them with to show you.

The auction stated the heel height is 3″ and I was kinda thinking about that.  Well, when I tried on the right one I am thinking I’ll be able to deal with it.  Besides, sometimes it hurts to be beautiful, giggles.  Seriously, i think the shoe will be comfortable.  I can always add insole padding if necessary.

Honestly, I was not overly excited about my fabric choice.  Really, the price is what got me.  It was purchased from Fashion Fabrics Club for some ridiculously inexpensive amount, LOL.  But as it pertains to the whole look, 30s, the shoes, etc. I am excited about that.

Okay,  I need to get off the Internet and get to sewing.   Okay, for real I have to scoot to the dentist’s office for my semi-annual teeth cleaning appointment (how exciting).   There are at least three projects in my “She Shed” that are beckoning.  I’d much rather be sewing.
